Special Short Sale Announcement
Dear RE/MAX Colleagues,
New government guidelines designed to streamline the Short Sale process go into effect April 5th. All HAMP lenders and real estate agents working in the rapidly expanding Short Sales market MUST be familiar with these new guidelines. The new program is called HAFA: The Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternative program
On Monday, April 5th, Margaret Kelly and I will be hosting a very special live broadcast called "HAFA: What It Means To You." This live, interactive program will feature the Department of Treasury official who helped create HAFA, and is being presented by one of the largest single processors of Short Sales, Bank of America. The Bank of America executive who coordinates their Short Sale program, will be in the broadcast too. He will outline their new procedures for speeding up the process, including a new on-line tool designed by Equator to provide 24/7 updates on the status of your Short Sale offers.
The Equator CEO will be on hand to explain the system and to answer your questions.
Distressed Properties are expected to comprise 50% of the U.S. market transactions this year, and it is vitally important that you learn about these new guidelines. I strongly encourage you to join us via RE/MAX University on Monday April 5th at 7:00 PM EST to participate in this program.
The show can be accessed via RSN/DISH Network, in our office so we can all get together, pop some popcorn and share in this educational experience. Pass it on, and call or email us to reserve your seat.
The show is designed to be interactive, so you'll be able to submit questions via e-mail, Facebook or Twitter. I hope you can join us on Monday
